Since 2010, Cindy has served as the Head of the Education Committee building the team of presenters and enhancing the presentation of their premier seminar, “Empathy for Elders”. In 2011, she was elected to the Board and appointed as Secretary and now is our new President for 2012!

You need JavaScript enabled to view it Larry Powell is founder and president of the Angels Care Center of Eloise, a non-profit faith-based medical clinic reaching those with limited means who need medical care. Larry has been very active in Polk County serving on boards and community action committees. He recently retired from the Alzheimer's Association, Florida Gulf Coast Chapter, where he was a Senior Program Specialist. He brings a wealth of experience and passion for meeting the needs of Seniors in our communities. Larry chairs the Community Outreach Committee.

You need JavaScript enabled to view it Temi Charrier, along with her husband John, moved from Huntsville, AL to open Home Instead Senior Care Lakeland franchise in 2009. Temi is very passionate about senior advocacy and support with over 10 years experience in health care. Home Instead Senior Care is the first Non-Medical Home Care Agency in Polk County to become fully accredited. Temi has been an active member of BLFS since 2009. Temi currently serves on the Education Committee and Publication Committees.

Victory Church has been an active member of BLFS since 2007 and Randy has served on the BLFS Board since February of 2009. Current responsibilities include financial and data management and website integration. Randy also represents BLFS on the Lakeland Leadership Council on Seniors. In addition to his involvement with BLFS he serves on the Ethics Committee at Lakeland Regional Medical Center.

Works at Mulberry Pharmacy. Member of First Presbyterian Church, Lakeland. Active with Boy Scouts-Thunderbird District. 4 kids; 1 granddaughter & first grandson on the way! Russell is the Chairman of our Meeting Location/Speaker Committee.

As a Senior Program Specialist for the Alzheimer’s Association- Florida Gulf Coast Chapter she provides education and support to families and professionals on all areas related to dementia. She serves on the NAACP Lakeland Health Care committee. She has been an active Better Living for Seniors member since 2005 serving as a committee or board member for over six years.
